Apps for Smart TVs
The growing population of connected TVs – and their ability to offer users a wide selection of applications directly on the TV screen without any new boxes or cables – are changing the landscape of television. Numerous market forecasts show that over 80% of TVs sold will have connected features (ie, IP networking) with no price premium.
At AVIQ we have been developing applications for connected TVs for our B2B customers for quite some time now. Using our experience in development of media-oriented software, we offer our customers revenue-generating products and a further possibility to achieve additional presence with their end-users. We are currently working with Samsung, LG and Panasonic TVs, and the list is growing fast. All major Digital Rights Management (DRM) systems are fully supported.

We develop Video on Demand (VOD) applications allowing comfortable consumption of movies and TV series directly on the TV, without the need for a cable box, satellite receiver or IPTV subscription.
Another example of a popular app for connected TVs is Catchup TV, the possibility to catch up on TV shows you may have missed. Finally, in conjunction with our Cloud Software products, we offer tracking of viewer behavior from within our apps and addressable advertising solutions where viewers are presented with select ads and content offerings and can purchase them directly from the TV screen.
