AVIQ’s Management Team
Rudolf Kiseljak, Founder, CEO, Chairman
Rudy has an extensive international experience in product management and development, marketing and sales in the audio/video industry, creation of innovative products and services, as well as founding, managing and structuring start-ups. Started in 2002 and officially launched in 2003, AVIQ is Rudy’s 3rd startup company. Previous engagements also include working as VP Product Management at BridgeCo, a technology startup, and as Head of Product Management at Studer Professional Audio, an industry leader in professional audio systems. He holds a dipl.ing. degree in Electronic Engineering, a M.Sc. degree in Digital Audio Engineering and an Executive MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Jonathan Claman, VP Product Management
Jonathan has been involved with AVIQ since 2007, where he leads the product management, marketing, and business development activities. He brings over 17 years of experience, having previously worked in leadership positions for technology companies such as SmarDTV, BridgeCo, SkyStream Networks, and S3 Inc. His career has spanned Europe and Silicon Valley, where he has created market opportunities from zero, innovated new product lines, and established successful partner relationships. Earlier in his career he worked as a design engineer in the areas of semiconductors, computer graphics and video networking. He holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Sigi Eggenberger, Director Projects
At AVIQ from 2003, Sigi led various R&D projects, among which were the development of AVIQ’s first digital video recorder as well as the Electronic Program Guide system. Sigi brings a wealth of experience as R&D and project manager in leading complex technical projects with several major companies such as Siemens and Landis&Gyr, as well as startup experience at two startups. Sigi also worked for the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property as patent specialist. He holds a dipl.ing. degree in Electrical Engineering from ETH Zurich and a MSc. degree in Software Engineering from Union College, N.Y., USA.
Steve Tomlinson, Director Sales
Steve has over 20 years’ experience in selling, management and business development of electronic products, and has spent the last 10 years working in international sales positions in start-up companies in Digital Media Technologies. At Tripath Technology he initiated the partnership with Alcatel Microelectronics (now part of ST Micro) and secured business at Alcatel Telecom, and more recently at BridgeCo he secured the company’s first two design wins at Philips in addition to Thomson Telecom, Nokia and Grundig. Steve has an MA in Physics from Oxford University.
Nadezhda Zlateva, Chief Architect – Cloud Software & MD AVIQ Bulgaria Ltd.
Nadia has substantial experience in Web programming with Java and .NET technologies, and has applied much of that knowledge to the creation of AVIQ’s cloud software. Recently, Nadia is engaged in software for mobile platforms. She graduated magna cum laude with a BA from the American University in Bulgaria and holds a M.Sc. degree from the Sofia University specializing in Artificial Intelligence. In addition to her full time role at AVIQ, Nadia is studying towards a PhD at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, working on her thesis in Computer Vision for gesture recognition. Nadia joined AVIQ in late 2002 and has become MD of AVIQ Bulgaria Ltd. in 2007.
Alexander Marinov, Chief Architect – Box Software
Alek brings fifteen years of experience in software development, leading Box software at AVIQ since 2003. He holds a dipl.ing. degree in Applied Mathematics and Informatics from the Technical University in Sofia and a M.Sc. degree from the Sofia University specializing in Artificial Intelligence. On top of his full time job is developing new AVIQ products, Alek is presently a PhD student at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences working on his thesis in the area of Human-Computer Interaction with Image Processing and Recognition.

Peter Gormley, Board Member
Peter is a US trained and qualified lawyer with over 30 years experience in business, government and financial services. In addition to his board seat at AVIQ which he holds since June 2010, he is also General Counsel and a member of the Board of Thomson Reuters Global Resources. Peter started his legal career at the Library of Congress, in Washington DC, worked in government service with the US Peace Corps in South America and served for 5 years as staff attorney and branch chief with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. He has also held compliance officer and senior legal department positions at Morgan Stanley, Salomon Brothers and Credit Suisse. Peter attended the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, USA, and received Juris Doctor and MBA degrees from The George Washington University in Washington DC.
Yves Claude Aubert, Board Member
Yves is an independent advisor who focuses his energy and talent on new business initiatives, development projects, and change management. Previously he worked for BCV (Banque Cantonale Vaudoise) as the CEO’s executive advisor. He co-created and managed e-SIDER.COM, one of the first online brokers and 2001’s ex-aequo best online broker in Switzerland, and also designed BCV’s global e-business strategy and led the growth of its online banking & brokerage operations. Earlier, Yves established BCV’s first overseas presence in Singapore. Yves started his career in 1987 as a trader on fixed income and equities. He holds an executive MBA from IMD Lausanne and had earlier graduated at CFPI in Geneva with the degrees of Certified Financial Analyst and Portfolio Manager. Board member as of January 2009.
